Whenever I plug my iPod into my computer with usb thingy, the iPod doesn't show up in iTunes under store, like it should. And on the iPod itself, it just has the battery charging symbol like it's on a doc or something instead of the "do not unplug" stuff. What is the solution?

PC user?
Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services
Stop and restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and the iPod Service.
Should fix it.

I'm the administer account on this computer, but I don't administrative tools.

Then go to Start > Run & type in 'services.msc' (Minus the quotes).

So, I restarted the service and all, but nothing happened.

After you restarted the services, did you unplug then plug you iPod back in?

Odd.
Go to devmgmt.msc and see what your iPod is recognized as, or if it's even recognized at all.
The drivers for it may need to be installed/reinstalled.

I don't see it anywhere on there.

Try Uninstalling and Installing the latest iTunes, restart computer and try connecting the iPod directly to a USB entry
