I cut last night, in the park. With dirty glass. And not dirty like normally dirty glass is. It was in a puddle. And covered in dirt. But it was very sharp. I've already cleaned the cuts with water, what else can I do? Also, I was climbing back over the gate, and I fell off it, cut my knee open a little, got some dirt in it it feels like. What do I use to clean these?

I'm not sure about brand names in the UK but... rubbing alcohol stings like a bitch but works well.

We also have this: http://www.bactine.com/
I would recommend that but I don't know if you can buy it in the UK but I'm sure you can find something similar. As well, something like Polysporin or Neosporin. It will clean the wound and help prevent infection. Then dress it and try not to get anything else in it.

I think if you can get hold of anything antiseptic then that's good for them.

I would try washing with soap and water and once it is clean put a bandage on, take it off at the end of the day, rewash, and put on a new bandage until it heals. Seems to be what my docs recommend even for big cuts.

matt :( im sorry you did that

I'd say clean it out with as hot water as you can stand and soap, then apply antiseptic cream- savlon is good, keep applying bio-oil or some kind of moisturiser to help it heal.

Thanks guy. It's better I think now. Just a bit of a limp.
