How many of you follow the major gaming tournaments in the world, such as MLG (which includes Starcraft 2, Halo Reach, and Call of Duty Black Ops), WCG (which includes Tekken 6, Counter-Strike 1.6, Crossfire, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Warcraft 3, and FIFA 2011), or IEM (which will include Counter-Strike 1.6, Starcraft 2, and League of Legends)?
I follow all of them and all the major Starcraft tournaments, personally.

MLG then? The next one is in Anaheim, the last weekend of July. It's free to watch. :P

There is the yearly EVO tournament in Vegas. It's all fighting games. It has been going on since SF2. People come from all over the country to attend. Since I've been a street fighter addict since I was 7, I'm happy to attend this tourney. There are other fighting game tourneys like WNF(in norCal I think), season's beatings(here4 in Ohio), sharkskin showdown. And alot more that I can't remember.

Well, just to point out more major Starcraft 2 tournaments, there's the GSL (http://www.gomtv.net/), NASL (http://www.nasl.tv), and IPL (http://www.ign.com/ipl). I also forgot to mention Dreamhack, which is a major tournament in Sweden that takes place throughout the year. Dreamhack Summer just concluded recently, and it includes a lot of games. Team FPS, Duel FPS, Racing, Fighting, Sports, Strategy, and Music games all are included. Yeah I'm a complete nerd.

Unfortunately since I live in New Zealand it's hard to watch most of the events. So I can only watch the events that get broadcasted over the internet.
Although I've never played Starcraft in my life, I love watching it :P

I used to be a big follower of MLG when Halo 3 was in the circuit. But since I don't find Halo Reach as fun to play or watch, I've stopped paying as close of attention.

How much difference is there between the two? I've always wondered.
