Oh ho! Thoughts? Concerns? Personally, I loved this as a child and am overly excited to see that it will soon be returning to Cartoon Network.

This made me very happy when I first saw it.

When I first heard about it I vaguely remembered it, and then I realized I used to watch this show when I was very young. I honestly don't remember much from it but from that preview it looks pretty good.

Hmm. Now the next generation will actually half-understand my "ThunderRats!" t-shirt.
I never watched this, but I can say that I really wish people would just leave this stuff alone. Everyone messes with this shit and makes it worse. It's better to leave things as they were in their golden years. That's just my opinion though.

I'm not sure what to make of it. I have some older cousins who got me into this show and a bunch of other 80s cartoons, so a part of me is excited that they're coming back, but I'm also worried that I'll hype it up too much for myself. Now I just try not to think about it haha

Except it doesn't suck. It actually has a plot and is made to do more than sell toys. Plus, there are plenty of great cartoons that came out in recent years. Avatar being the foremost example.

I don't consider Avatar recent comparatively. It's part of a different decade of television now. Avatar was a rare gem, and cartoons are still getting worse. Maybe I'm just a sour 90's kid but cartoons (as well as Disney while we're talking about animation) are dead. There will be a couple that come around that are decent but everything's just gone to shit.

I've never seen this before, was it an American thing?
I agree with some of the above posts though, some cartoons & stuff should just be left as they are. It's better to have an amazing show that hasnt had a new episode in 10 years than have an amazing show with 10 crappy remakes.

Well, I didn't exactly call it recent. I used the phrase "recent years", by which I mean ended in the mid-2000s to now.
It's part of a different decade of television now.
That's technically true, but this decade of television has only existed for 7 months (or 17, depending on how you count).
To try and show you that there are still a decent amount of good cartoons I'm making a list:
- Young Justice
- Voltron Force
- Green Lantern: The Animated Series (Not actually out yet, but it's headed by Bruce Timm, who is a DC animated feature legend behind almost all DC movies and shows. Most notably Batman: TAS)
- ThunderCats
- Sym-Bionic Titan
- The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
- Transformers: Prime
- Generator Rex
- G.I. Joe: Renegades
- Dragon Ball Z Kai (Sorta counts)
- Wolverine and the X-Men
- The Spectacular Spider-Man
- Star Wars: The Clone Wars
- The Secret Saturdays
All of these were made in 2008 or later (most in 2010 or later) and range from decent to great in terms of quality.

I didn't forget Spongebob, I was just listing recent cartoons. Spongebob was started in the 90s.

You think that all remakes suck because they're remakes? That's stupid.
Anyways, it's not even a remake. It's a reboot. Besides superficial aspects the original Thundercats and the new Thundercats are nothing alike.

Yes. Your opinion is stupid. You are instantly disliking every piece of entertainment media based on (but not being a sequel to) an existing piece of entertainment media. You are disregarding everything about said entertainment media and base your dislike on an aspect of said media that has LITERALLY nothing to do with its quality.
