Web Cam on my computer

ummm I hope this is allowed. I just have a question about it, that's all....

Anyways...when I had XP I had an icon on the desktop that I could click on to get on this web cam that my laptop has......and with that I could take pics (I just click a button)...I rarely used it but I just want to know how to get to it now that I have Windows 7....Do I go to the Control Panel or something...? >_<

You're probably just missing the extra software for the webcam.
Try going to whoever makes your laptop's website, and checking the downloads section for your laptop to see if there's any extra software that you can download.
If there is no extra software, try going to 'Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers' and double click on the webcam and see what pops up.
If nothing exciting happens, go ahead and let us know what the make/model of your laptop is, so we can see what turns up.

I have Acer Aspire 5102WLMi and I found yesterday a compressed download (here (http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-support/2481-acer-aspire-5102-a.html), likes to a thread on a forum, hope that's allowed >_<) for the webcam (I believe)...but not sure if it's safe or anything...

I just ran a scan on that .zip, and it looks to be safe.

Go ahead and see if installing that software (By running the setup.exe file) helps.
