Why am I always so depressed ?

I'm so depressed . No reason in particular . I honestly hate th way my life is going but there really isn't much else I can so to try to change it. but why am I so depressed ? At certain times everyday I feel sad . For instance when I wake up , the time I get home from school, during school, before bed etc... I'm just so sad... but why ? Why am I so depressed so much ? I'm never happy anymore . I dont even think there is a reason , ima just plain unhappy and feel very depressed.

I am on anti depressants and meds for my social anxiety . Ive been increasing the doses for over a year now , so it's not like I dont try to treat it . Although I depise therapy with a passion, I see a therapist and physiologist . So what'd wrong with me ?

I forgot to add that my self esteem is quite low and I'm also very negative .

the thing about depression is that it doesn't go away easily. Even if the circumstances that made you depressed goes away, the feeling of depression won't necessarily. You need time-for the therapy to work, the meds to work etc. Depression is a sickness, it's not just "feeling blue." It doesn't come and go. Once you've got it, it's very hard to get over it.

Well I've been in therapy since first grade, now in eighth and have been taking pills for over a year so it's not like I just started . I am depressed although my parents write it off as silly or tell me to quit moaning and be happy.

Is you're therapist working on the depression or the anxiety?
Also I'm sorry about your parents :( try not to listen to them. My mother is always telling me to lighten up and saying "when I was your age I was happy" etc. it sucks but you have to try and not let that stuff get to you. Maybe ask your therapist to talk to them about being more understanding.
