The title is the question. Would you circumcise you baby boy or not? and why or why not?
(Question is for both, boys and girls)

I'm going to leave him uncut. The way I see it is since American circumcision rates are decreasing, why not leave my kid uncut. Besides I think my kid should have the right to choose if he wants to be cut

I really am not sure, I would have to research it more. I have heard that uncircumcised penis is more sensitive than a circumcised penis. ( just like what kylenike said) I am not sure if that is good or bad, but in term of sex , one would think that would be good, more pleasurable . I would want to take that way from my kid. But also, uncircumcised penis is natural, why you want to change it , I am not sure.
I would have to look into it more. I am unsure. That's just my thoughts.
Also, to those of you who said yes, why? I am curious

Not a good reason at all, IMO. Just because it "looks better" to you, you're willing to submit your son to a permanent, life-alternating surgery with no health benefits?
Nature put the foreskin there. It should not be removed. There's a reason why people with foreskin are called "intact" or "natural."

Yes, it does have health benefits, it's a lot eaisier to clean, you can't get anything such as sand, dirt, and etc under the foreskin, and personally I am pretty sure it's easier for condoms to stay on and that's a good way to keep out STI's STD's and unwanted pregnancy, I would circumsize my baby boy.

Rule to clean intact penis: "Only clean what is seen." Compare that to having to deal with gauze and a wound, dried blood, etc.
No medical organization in the world recommends it.
As for sand and dirt, what would you do to your daughters to protect their skinfolds from dirt? What about getting dirt under the eyelids of boys or girls? Would you remove your son's eyelids because the dirt could get trapped under there?
And as far as keeping condoms on, that's completely untrue. If someone said that, they either didn't do it properly, or are making it up.
Show me proof and i'll believe you, but unti then...

Proof? Considering the vast majority of the world has foreskin, that must be a ton of dirty penises and women who complain about sex.
Honestly, if the woman complains, that's on her. If you complained because your girlfriend wasn't loose enough, or had big lips, or whatever, would that be her fault?

well technicly the foreskin has built in protection from sti and stds, why remove that protection the inner foreskin and shaft skin are wide open to infections. And when it comes to condoms, who says the stay on better, bennies stay on better without ears ... see where im going maybe ppl need to change what they buy/do

That isn't true. Underneath the foreskin, the skin is made to be warmer: This causes bacterium etc. To breed, and in some cases gives you an STD

Imo the hygiene aspect is not relevant at all. If it is cleaned properly it is no different. I'm assuming that the majority of this forum are american based (as I have seen on some other polls relating to global location) and b the majority of Americans are cut. Now of coarse the reason most Americans are cut is NOT because of health reasons but because some time in the 20th century religious groups said that it was wrong to masturbate and they believed that if you removed the male's foreskin it would prevent them from "spilling their seed". Because of this a "Like father, Like sun" society has been formed and a kind of brainwashing has occurred to make the vast majority believe that it is the only way to go. Why people need to be cut to me seems a weird question. If it is purely for looks then I don't believe that it is the parents' choice. If a parent thought their kid was ugly would they be allowed to have them get cosmetic surgery at such a young age? If they do it for apparent health benefits then im fine with it. Personally I believe that after millions of years of evolution we are made like this for a reason. (And if you don't see evolution and see religion then if we are "made in god's image" why deviate from it?

I'm kind of torn. I believe in letting my children make their own decisions concerning their bodies, but in a case like circumcision, I'd have to do it incase he WOULD chose to. It would be painful, but he wouldn't be old enough to remember and be scarred for life. But if he would've prefered to be, too late to go back. You can take it off, but you can't put it back... I think...

Why on earth would you want to circumcise anyone? fools, sorry, just voicing my strong opinion on this topic. There is absolutely no need whatsoever for someone to be circumcised.
1. Both types of penis are equally easily to clean and everyone. No foreskin, does not get in the way of this.
2. Having a circumcised penis DOES NOT keep a condom on your penis better, it's all about the correct size of condom...
3. No it does not give a girl more pleasure during sex. It all depends about how 'you give the sex'.
4. It does not 'look better' circumcised. It all depends on who you are and which type you prefer.
5. It is not more sanitary or whatever, doesn't decrease chances of STD/Is and other diseases at all, being circumcised
6. If there was something wrong with the foreskin, then surely we would have evolved not to have it anymore no?
7. There are no problems whatsoever with having foreskin
8. There are no benefits whatsoever with being circumcised.
9. If we were ALL born with foreskin, then why remove it, it's natural.
No, I would never ever have my son circumcised. If he chose to have it done himself in later life, then that's fine by me. But being the theoretical parent here, and having my opinion as it is, I would try to discourage him from having it done, but would not stop him.
Now then guys, before you start with a hissy b!tch counter-argument list to this, please just respect that it is my opinion, not yours. Not facts, just my strong opinion. So please, feel free to read this and have your own thoughts and feelings of my post in your head, but I do not want to get into a big fight with any of you.

1. It is not my body to decide upon.
2. Infant imprecize circumcisions leave ugly and uneven scars.
As I prefer cut penises I would like nice cuts. I certainly will ask his opinion when he is old enough. Still it is his body and noone elses. My boy isn't a dog for fashionable bodymodifications.

1) Acutally, a circumcised penis is harder to keep clean. You have to clean the wound, check for adhesions, etc. To clean foreskin, you just wipe it the same way you'd wipe a finger.
2) This is true. Normally, you'd put a condom onto an erect penis. When the penis goes erect, the skin slides back. Essentially, it looks the same when it's hard if it's circumcised or not.
3) This is debatable. The foreskin does have a lot of nerve endings and adds to the sensation. Without it, you have that dried glans rubbing up against everything. I'd link to a site, but I don't think I can.
Everything else, I agree with.
--------------
There is no medical reason to circumcise. No medical organization in the world recommends it. Some people think it looks better, but a penis with a scar on it...ugh!
It's his penis, and therefore should be his choice. Why should I take something that isn't mine? Isn't that stealing?
---------
Honestly, I think a lot of people who WANT to circumcise their kid ARE circumcised. They don't want their kid growing up with something they don't have. Maybe it's a feeling of guilt, maybe it's something else.
I don't know of many people who have foreskin who would allow their son to grow up without it.

I've seen some really ugly foreskins out their and for some reason I think if you can't see the head it almost looks "feminine" in a wierd way. Plus, I've been with uncut guys who cum waaay too fast cuz their head is overly sensitive cuz it's almost always covered. However, I respect others opinions about this issue...

"and for some reason", which you really don't want to (or can't) name.
Plus, with all the stuff i've bolded, it seems like it's more about you. Shouldn't his penis be about him, the way your vagina and breasts are about yours?
And the penis is supposed to have foreskin on it. It was made that way. Why change what nature intended? Circumcised guys also cum too fast. The speed at which a guy cums can also depend on the last time he masturbated. If a circumcised guy hasn't cummed in quite a while, he also can cum very fast.
It's almost like a volcano. It needs time to "build up" pressure. The more pressure there is, the more it'll explode when it's called to.

Yes, due to religious reasons. For the people saying 'oh but we were born with it so why get rid of it?'.. Uhh by that logic, we should all let our fingernails and toenails, hair, and pubes grow freely.

You do realize that nails and pubic hair grow back, right? Circumcision is quite different. It is the permanent removal of skin which covers an internal organ, making it an external organ.

The reason why boys would be circumcised is the reason for bacteria and getting infections. I wouldn't get my child circumcised, but I would tell him to pull it back and clean it for that matter
and as for sensitivity, the reason the "head" is so sensitive is because on uncircumcised boys, the foreskin covers the "head" and doesn't allow it to rub against ur underwear. but on circumcised boys, it has been rubbing on the underwear so it has gotten "rough" and doesnt tickle when rubbed. I gues that's why you have more pleasure when ur uncircumcised

Just saying, easier to clean is just false media spread by doctors to make extra money, 85% girls that have had the chance to be with an intact man and circumcised one liked the intact better, and circumcising is falling (so that's kind of an invalid reason).

Cut. So he is not prune to infections and pains.
100% myth. Ironically, it is the circumcision surgery which *IS* painful and can cause infections, be botched, etc.
The worst is when someone has to be "re-circumcised". A lot of these "re-circumcisions" are because the baby has a loose cut, and the doctor leaves a lot of skin behind. Nature causes the remaining foreskin to re-attach to the glans/shaft, and the parents freak out. They'll go to the doctor who'll "prescribe" another circumcision to take off more skin.
It is a circumcision that takes off a lot of skin where the boy/man can have painful erections. When the penis gets bigger, the foreskin slides down the shaft. Sometimes, the glans pops out of the foreskin, because the penis grows so much. Imagine that scenario without foreskin...you'll have a lot of stretching and pulling. More skin = better during erections.

I volunteer 4 days a week at a hospital and a lot of men come in with forskin stuck retracted and infected due to build of of fungus. If they do not clean it up.when it gets stuck back the doctor pulls It very hard until te skin comes free.
