I somehow doubt as young as second grade, but early bloomers tend to reach puberty before the 'normal' or 'average' time - it's not really a problem, unless it's too early where it could cause complications. They'll probably finish a little earlier too, but you'll more or less have caught them up by the 20s-ish when puberty ends. Nothing to worry about!

Yeah, I also don't think thats possible at 2nd grade. Maybe at 5th, bot not second. Anyways, early bloomers I would guess would end puberty sooner. I would say I'm an early bloomer cause not all guys who are 14 are as mature (physically, not mentally), but some guys may have some time in between their growth spurts, and catch up later on.

He may not fully understand what puberty is and what changes happen to the body during it. Again, as posted above, if he was starting to experience some subtle changes, then hey that's good for him. We all will go through it and experience it but you will "catch up" when your body is ready...just have patients.. But 2nd grade is pretty young for it to start happening.

I believe someone could start at second grade... One of my best friends started at that age but now in the 9th grade he hasnt changed and has reach a peak in his puberty.

Stuff happens. Sure, it could all be a bluff, but in a world with pregnant five year olds, you must think about it more. ;)
