What Will They See

What will they see
when they see me
it's been 3 years
this won't end well

First they'll look at my face
and wonder why I'm so pale
then they'll step back to see
how much I've grown

But what will they see
when they look at my arm

Will they see the scars
will they see the pain they've caused
will they see a story of love and regret
will they see the truth
or will they see nothing at all

I like this. The emotion comes out. If I may ask...What do you want them to see?

I want them to see the truth. Not necissarily the cuts and scars because they're only the end product, but beyond that. I would like them to realize that this is what they've driven me to.
