By random, I assume you mean there is no pattern to the restart... By restart do you mean like, just a spontaneous BLAM, reboot, or is it a STOP error (blue screen) followed by a reboot. That can be caused by device drivers, or windows itself, and the error codes DO actually mean something. Spontaneous crash/reboots are almost always hardware related, I'd look into the power supply and ram (though it could be lots of other things too). And I'm also assuming that since it's a Presario you're not overclocking it....

most common causes of this is if your cooler has dust in it or your computer is heating up

Try doing different virus scans. Could be a result of bad memory, overheating or bas psu.

From my experience I would say it's some kind of virus, like Andy said, run some virus scans. Out of interest; Do you get any warning messages of any type before it crashes?

No its not a virus, i havent had a virus for agers, and no I dont get any error messages, it just goes black makes that sound inside the computer then restarts

Just because you haven't had a virus for ages or you get no error messages doesn't mean you havent got one.

Hmmm..... well, seeing as you don't get any error messages, I really think it's hard ware related. I dunno if you know what it is, but check to see if the 'heat sync' for your processor is connected properly (if you're not too sure what it is Google it). It could just be the case that the processor isn't colling down enough therefore making your PC crash. Happened to me a while ago.

Open the case up and clear out any dust, chack all connections and remove the ram and put it back in to make sure good contact is being made.
