Ohkay, so this may be a dumb question but my bf is nearly 2 years older than me, so in October he'll be 18. Someone said that it'll be illegal for us to date untill I'm 18 too. Is this true? I mean, we're not gonna get in trouble right?

I'm pretty sure it's only illegal if you have sex, That would count as statutory rape regardless of how you feel and even if you want to.

I think you have to look at the age of consent for the state you live in, each state has its own rules that cover the age gap between 2 people. I sometimes think it should be based on the people and not just the age, but what do I know I'm just 13

She is 16 in alabama the age of sexual consent is 16...that means if they had an intercourse he could not be arrested for statutory rape..
