keeps saying "the attempt to obtain an IP adress timed out"
any ideas
i am on windows 7 and i have tried about 6 youtube videos and none of them seem to be working

can anybody help me?

most games consoles require a strong internet connection something a dongle doesnt provide so you may not connect it to that you may need to get a proper router and yes hardware does matter when connecting to the internet certains thing wont work with certain other things

i used to get on alright with it when i had my old play station but now its not letting me

the dongle is installed on my laptop. te same one i used to use. im not really that technical so i followed videos on youtube and googled it and followed the ones that look correct and it still isnt allowing me :(

i have had the dongle errrm maybe about a year?
and no its contract (n)



i know exactly how you feel Michael it is so frustrating :(!
