(I'm not exactly sure where this fall so just move if need)
I need topics for my research paper and it needs to be an issue that today's teenager faces. I need 3 to be exact. If any of you could give me some, it will surely be a great help. :)

More accurately, teenagers have the expectations and responsibilities of adults with few if any of the benefits and perks.

If that's a responce to Sage's point, there's one example of how that's true in legality, regardless of a teenager's ego.
Any of us can be tried as an adult and haave our juvie records closed. Yet we have none of the rights, and none of the ability to properly defend ourselves.

No, I mean being out there in the big bad world. Having to get jobs, pay our own bills and other financial responsibilities, some of us get married and have families, we're more legally and morally accountable for our actions, etc.
As a young teenager, you're at least still practically getting your ass wiped by your parents and your school and have none of the above responsibilities. I'm not saying it's all honey and roses for teenagers, because I was bullied through secondary school, and I acknowledge the issues already mentioned in this thread, but when you become an adult you'll laugh at how you found things like "having to do well in school" or "peer pressure" or "puberty" difficult. Ask most adults (say about age 30+) and they'll think you're lucky if things like even that are all you have to deal with.
I'm a legal adult, and the novelty of being allowed to drink, fuck, gamble, drive, work, or whatever wore off pretty quickly and I find the prospect of adulthood more daunting than I did of teenagerhood (if that's a word lol).

This isn't just about young teenagers though is it? I'm 17 and facing the prospect of finding a job as i've just left college, and i'm still classed as a teenager. And anyway, some teenagers have other problems:
(back to OP) young carers, I have a lot of friends who have parents with disabilities that have to look after them.

^ Kaius got it pretty well. Financial issues are a big one too, since I'm going to college next year. Hopefully the economy will get better.

Bullying
Pressure to do well with education
Being expected to show maturity and act like an adult but never getting the opportunity to do so because you are treated like a child.
