I think this probably applies to a lot of atheists out there.

I've done the same thing when I lived in Wisconsin and went to a Lutheran church

I think this probably applies to a lot of atheists out there. And so it does to other Sceptics, Naturalists and Secular Humanists out there.

It's healthy to doubt and to be sceptical and open-minded once in a while.

Probably more than that.

Same thing happened to me. The more I thought about it, the more nothing in my religion made sence to me. So I stopped going and became agnostic

Same with me. So many self contradicting statements. But I still feel I have reason to believe in god.

I've been to hardcore religious schools all my life (not for religion, just because of the good education) and I've had to listen to teachings of religion for an hour a day, every school day, and to be honest it's made me the atheist I am today.

Religion is touchy, i have been taught faith is a verb not a noun and you have to work on faith instead of deserving it.

i hit a hard spot a few months ago but i went in and talked to my church leaders and followed thier advice...still climbing out but i am working on my faith.

my main problem is as said earlier contradictory statements, we are love one another yet try and suppress certain groups...not cool in my book.

ha. I've been listening to teachings of religion in hardcore religious schools for over 4 hours every day since first grade. I realized it's a stinking pile of bs in 6th grade. I'm an atheist now and going into 12th grade, and have to act like I love the religion that's controlling and imprisoning EVERY aspect of my life. I consider you lucky.

^Same here, its fun being agnostic haha but people kind of look at me different as if I'm going to burn in hell for the rest of eternity AHHHHH! Lol jk... Even though most of my friends believe in the whole jesus crap I'm more uhm realistic and don't strap myself to any religion... besides most christians hate gay people (I said most, not generalizing) and I have lots of gay friends that I look out for

Solution: Islam

Come on! You kill people and in order not go commit a sin while killing someone, all you have to do is to yell: "Allah!!!!" and people will think you are killing for a Jihad.
You can have more than a wife.
You will have superiority over your wives.
If you want to, you can go to Saudi Arabia, the heart of petrol!

I'm pragmatically Agnostic who slightly leans toward Atheism, but I'm still nominally Catholic. I've doubted God since I began High School. Even though I don't have any problems with people believing in beings like God, but I'm highly against the established Church. I will never reveal to anyone of my un-faith, unless of course if they wouldn't make so much fuss about it if I do.
