Hey, Firstly no such thing as a bad lens. HAha
I shoot with canon so i'd recommend Canons 50-300mm f/4.5 L. Being an 'L series' lens it will be pricey. But there isnt much choice for the kinda zoom.

Oh, well I'm not sure for Canon, but if you want an original lens, Nikxta said it..
Though if it doesn't matter if it's original you can google like Sigma, Tamron, etc.

It also depends on how much money you have/are willing to pay for it, since an original usually will cost quite a lot more than another one.

Where you can buy it will probably be pretty easy to find on the internet. (:

I'm not a Canon user, so I'm sorry, I don't have any suggestions for you, but I hope you find a nice lens.

I shoot with a Pentax and I LOVE my old manual glass, I can't stand AF lens. (;

I'd suggest you to go with 'unofficial' lenses. They are of good quality and are cheaper than their official counterparts.
Tamron offers a 50-200 or a 70-300, but I wouldn't suggest you to get such a big coverage because you can loose a lot.
Better spare (a lot) and get two lenses to cover it in two parts.
