So today I was watching a show with the above title and it made me sick to my stomach. How can moms do this to little girls! Its incredibly sad!

Think of the emotional repercussions if these girls don't win! That could screw their self esteems up soooo bad! One mom glued a fake tooth in when her daughter lost one! There should be laws to protect against this!

I've seen this show on tv too.
I hate to see how their moms wanna waste their childhood on this garbage. Making them wear 5 pounds of make up and put on fake nails...it's horrible.

Sadly its not just in America they do this anymore. I find things like this inexcusably stupid. It makes me sick when you see parents forcing their own desires on and living their own lives through their children. They're basically not allowing their children to have the freedom of childhood, which is something every child has a right to. Its awful.

The episode I watched had on mom dressing her poor little girl up in a daisy dukes outfit. She then coached her to dance like a whore on stage! This kind of thing shouldn't be legal. I imagine all of these kids will have problems when they grow up.

Im almost 19 years old I think I can learn valuable lessons from shows that are age appropriate. No their ratings do not go up if im watching it via netflix instant play. That would be like me borrowing the DVD from a friend and watching it that way.

It's sad that these mothers think it's okay to do this to their children. It is child pornography to an extent; dressing up their children like prostitutes and having them dance on stage. It's so disgusting. What's even more disgusting is the mother's lack of humility. They act as if they have a right to do this to their child. How these types of pageants are legal is absolutely beyond me...

I know its wrong of me to say this, but I find the show utterly hilarious, especially when the girls throw a tantrum.

That said, the entire concept of this it is wrong. The mothers are for the most part living out their dreams through children who are too young to know they are being used. The girls are raised in it, they have an under 3 division. That shouldnt exist anywhere in any competition. Seriously. The children are taught to enjoy mommy's fantasy rather then deciding for themselves.

It's completely stupid. My opinion on it is; The mother does it to the child, because it's what the mother never got as a child. Have you noticed how most of the mothers are women who look like they haven't done anything in their lives. They mothers are pretty much only living through their daughters. Living the lives they wish they had.

I know that children's beauty pageants are often portrayed in a bad way, they're actually not that bad. I have been involved in pageantry all of my life and I have rarely seen anything close to the scripted dramas of Toddlers and Tiaras in real life. Most of the girls I have seen seem rather happy on stage and most of their mothers seem very supportive of ther daughters. I know this is not true in all cases though. Most of the girls that I have met in my years with horrid attitudes end up on this show. For example, I actually know the girl in the second picture in the OP. She has a bad attitude toward pageants and it seems as if her mother forces her into them. I also know the African-American baby in the third picture in the OP. She always has a positive attitude towards pageants and looks like she is truly enjoying herself onstage. I just want everybody to know that pageants aren't as horrible in real life as they are portrayed on TV. P.S. My sister was asked twice to be on this show, and our family declined the offer because we knew we would be portrayed in a bad light.
