I appologize if this isn't where it is suppossed to be.

I have pretty much come out as being bisexual to most of my friends now, and I have been thinking of creating a LGBT club at my school to help others. But to be frank with you, I don't know how I should get it started, what to do during the meetings, how often to meet, where is a good place to meet (in general), and how to advertise for those to join. If you can give me what your club does so I can base mine off of that, that would be great.

I am thinking I would like to keep it anonymous, by that I mean, don't write down who went to the meeting, don't force anyone to come out, and don't assume that everyone who shows up is LGB or T.

Or would it just be easier to make an anonymous letter writing service so that I can help the people if they need it, anonymously, so no one will no. Kind of like a newpaper, where they send me a letter, and then, with the understanding that I will post it, I can write it in a weekly newsletter, with my advice about it. I kind of like this idea, any thoughts on this, and if it has been done, that would really help me out. :)

I just want to focus a lot of my time, in helping those who are still stuck in the closet, either come out, or decide for themselves on what they want to do, or what they want to consider themselves. I denied it for many years, brushing it off, and not wanting to accept it, but now I totally wish that I came to this realization back in freshman year, because it would have made it so much easier through high school, instead of lieing to myself.

Please let me know, and I am sorry for the length of this post.

I believe the kind of club you are thinking of making is a GSA.

GLSEN can help you with that.

The biggest tip for any club is to have a strong leadership and you have to stay committed...I didn't do either of those and my GSA was an utter failure.
