I started a new school 3 months ago and a couple of weeks ago I was chosen to be prefect.
But now there's 8 of us who could become senior prefect out of our company and none of them are going for it apart from my mate.
I really want to become senior prefect but I get nervous speaking in front of people- and our interview is in front of a couple of teachers.
Another thing I have heard, if we go for senior prefect then more then 1 person can be it so there is a good chance that me and my Mate can become it.
But what if only one of us is allowed? I know they will probably choose her over me because they have Known her longer. We are going to find out more tomorrow. But I really want to become it and I won't know if I could of without trying. Do you think I should try? Do you think I'm in for a chance??

well i dont know what u mean by senior perfect but if u mean a valadictorian than i say go for it. if u dont go for it u might be thinking about it over and over again as in what if u did. plus if u go and they chose your friend over u whats the harm? u dont lose anything. and if anyone actually bugs u about losing tell them "at least i had the balls to go out and attempt to be at the top unlike you". and if u set yourmind to it and with enough devotion and dedication u can get it.

She isn't talking about a valedictorian. The senior class valedictorian isn't chosen, it's based upon your GPA average. I think she means more along the lines of a senior class president, in which case it can't hurt to try.
