How to make a long distance relationship last?

So,
We've been dating for five months,
But in april i moved back to my old city
We thought long distance wouldnt be a problem because my mother was planning on moving back to THAT city in august.
Now shes not. So...Idunno what to do.
We miss eachother like crazy but his father barely lets us talk and wont let us see eachother half the time.
And its getting harder on the both of us.
He went from moving in with us in august to us finding a place together.
Now idunno what his plans are.
Is there anyway to make this easier on the both of us till everything gets settled in afew months?:(

they dont tend to work but some do and i hope yours does

try and ask him straight what his plans are and if u dont like them tell him so because it would be 10x worse if you dont as he will think everything is ok

ask him to move in with you i think thats a better option than going to live with him on your own as in terms of money the cost of living is not cheap

The only way to make a long distance relationship last is to shorten the distance. If you can't do that, it can and will fail.
