Well.

At one point the Canadian dollar was worth $0.60 USD. We survived.

I'm enjoying parity.

I believe it may as already died,we're just waiting for hyperinflation.I think we can survive,I'm sure we'll pull a new currencies out our butts, but we survived with out a dollar 250 years ago,we can survive it again.

In my personal opinion,we never left the "Great Recession",in fact we're heading towards another Depression. We'll either
A:Get our dollar back to par
B:Make new currencies backed by gold and silver
C:America just looses it's power.

What you forget is that a weak dollar at the exchange rate means that you can overwhelm the market with cheaper exported goods as stronger currencies like the Pound Sterling will be able to afford more produce!

We'll loose it? That's better than losing it all together, right?

Who cars about gramer and spelln?Your two much of gramer nazi ;D!

That was my bad.I still think America is going to lose its power, although I'm fine with us being second/third/fourth/etc. best.

In fact ,I think the reason we're in this mess(besides that silly "War on Terror")is that America thought since we had money we didn't have to work as much,or that we need more money and charged more.So a bunch of manufacturing places started heading over seas for cheaper work. Then, the mass of people not seeing this kept buying thinking we had money, but in hindsight we're losing it.So we spent more money then we had, creating such a big deficit, not to mention all our help going to try and "fix"(take over) third world countries.

I think once we do lose our power,we'll start working our butts of being the power hungry country we are.
