Signings

I was just wondering, have you guys ever been to a signing with a band :)? if yes, which one?

I've been to a Bowling for Soup signing for their new Album, Fishin' for Woo's. They're really nice guys actually, really down to earth and genuine unlike a lot of musicians.

Well, I didn't went to a signing, just signing, but a few members from Vampire Weekend and Linda Martini signed my ticket when I met them.

I got autographs from Hey Monday and Stereo Skyline, and heard acoustic performances from them. The singer of Hey Monday is actually really sweet, I can't say much for the rest of the band. But she is.

I've gotten autographs from Anarbor, I didn't really talk to them, only the drummer.

All other bands, they're local :P

I got an album signed by Michael Gira. Other than that I got to have a five minute conversation with Steven Wilson once. That's about it.

I got an autograph from Jon Bon Jovi in the mail when I renewed my fan club membership, and I'm getting an autographed tour program from the whole band Bon Jovi because we bought a travel-package thingy.

I don't go to "signings" exactly. I meet them though, usually at odd hours of the night in down town Atlanta, talk to them, and possibly bring up the idea of having them sign something. Never to an official "sign my album and leave" thing. I hate those. My point, I would prefer just to get to talk to them over anything else. For instance, when I met the lovely Amanda Palmer, I asked for a hug. And she went ahead and signed my ticket, as well has her husband Neil Gaiman (one of my favourite authors).

I've met and gotten the signatures of Emilie Autumn, Amanda Palmer, Imogen Heap, and The Airborne Toxic Event.

I met Taylor swift and all the member from my chemical romance! So I have all their autographs :D

I met Chris Squire after a Yes concert and got him to sign my copy of 'Fish Out of Water'. Talked to him for about 15 minutes too, so that was cool.
