Why do my parents love stupid smoking so much?!!

Ok so my mom and dad smoke cigerrattes and i think it sucks! I'm 13 and I used to not really notice but I think it's more gross now! My younger brothers don't really care yet but I do! Like they always have to smoke after lunch and in the morning it's real bad they have like 3 ciggerattes in a row when they wake up!

Do they even taste nice? There must be other guys out there whos parents smoke

the ash is yuk! We got like ashtrays in every room apart from me and brothers bedroom but it still smells, they must be slot better to have than they smell

Yeah they love smoking because it contains Nicotine, with is a Depressing and Stimulant Drug. Its is EXTREMELY addictive, and also makes the person wake up and feel very much relaxed. They come with hundreds of health problems and contain many harmful chemicals- such as the ingredient Acetone in Nail Polish remover and ingredients such as Tar. I would strongly say to not it. Keep well away from them.

As Josiah said, it contains nicotine which is addictive, meaning it'll be hard for your parents to stop even if they wanted to.

Cigarettes do not taste nice at all, but I guess once you've been smoking them for long enough you don't notice that, and the taste is going to be worth it once you're addicted.

My dad smokes, it used to bother me when I was younger but doesn't really now. At the end of the day if they want to smoke that's up to them. You won't be living with them forever anyway.

And.. They probably don't "love stupid smoking", they probably don't taste good at all, but they're addicted to them.

My mum smokes. My old foster parents smoked. All my friends smoke. My friends parents smoke. I smoke. I think it tastes nice, and I like feeling the smoke going down my throat, its strong. I love the feeling when you blow it out and I feel different after having a ciggarette. I like smoking. It isnt good for you but everybody knows that.

Different people have different oppinions on smoking.

My mum smokes. But she does have the decency to keep it well away from the kids. Never smoked in the car, in the house, and when she did she'd open the windows in her bedroom anyway. She only started smoking around me when she found out I started. And she's very careful with my siblings as well. Her good habits (well, habits about the smoking, not that the habit is a good one, I mean) have rubbed off on me fortunately.

Mmm, yeah, I have a lot of friends who smoke as well. I smoke around them. I've been trying not to recently because I'm living with my girlfriend and she's not a smoker. Of course, I may be biased, but I have absolutely no issue with it if they're responsible.

Your taste buds get used to it after a while. Once the nicotine gets you, it's not as bad, and after a while you don't notice it at all. It's a lot like coffee that way. Many people don't like it right away. Then they'll drink it for the caffeine, get used it it, and end up liking it. I think the smoke does have a long-term affect on your taste buds though.

My mom has been smoking since she was 18 and I've had to deal with it for 16 years. It is the worst thing I've ever had to be around. I complain every single time she lights a cigarette around me. The smell is very unsettling. She even admitted to me that she doesn't really like the taste, she's just addicted. But, thanks to some herbal spray stuff she recently bought, she hasn't smoked since May 28 (:

If you let them know how you feel about it, they may take it into consideration and try to quit. Ya never know what could happen if you try.
Btw, I don't think cigarettes taste good. period.

Yeah my mum and dad smoke :) but hey i smoke to, peeps normally start coz of social presure then u get addicted and since nicotine is historically been in the top three hardest habbits to break most peeps would say quitin isnt worth the stress and effort :).

yep my mom and step dad smoke at home and i kinda got used to it because they smoked all my life.I wish I didn't have to smell of them and breath it in the house but i swim alot and play ball to keep healthy!

i always tell them off though if they dont put them out properly in the ashtray because they can set the whole house on fire! but they always do now I tell them lol

tbh, im not gonna call it stupid and go crazy, because its thier choice, not my life lol

iv tried it, didnt like it. i do kinda like the smell though lol :S
