Biopsy time

I have to go and have a lymph node biopsy done ...:shock: LOL
Ive got swollen lymph nodes in my neck and under my collar bone and I havent been feeling the greatest. I had blood tests done showing that i have low iron levels and low thyroid levels.
The doctor told me i have to go to haematology to have a lymph node biopsy done to find out why they are swollen.
He said that the symptoms that i have are usually how cancer of the lymph nodes presents itself, or possibly cancer of the blood.
Has anyone had /know anyone else who has had this?
I understand it could be any number of things, and i realise they jsut have to inform me of the worst possibility.

Well, I know a little bit bout this... but don't worry! Cancer of the lymph nodes is rare, most of the time it is some sort of infection. Hope everything goes well :D

Awww, I hope all is well and that it just turns out to be nothing too troublesome. Just as bobby wrote, I love that you remain optimistic; it's proven that people who believe that they will pass a disease or a virus, get over it or prolong their life with it then people who expect the worse. Something about if you convince yourself that you will get over it quickly, your body will give a better fight.

I got a letter through last week, they gave me an appointment for the middle of march but i have a presentation to give as part of my degree so i had to change it and the next one wasnt until the end of march but oh well.
I guess i just have to wait and see :)

In general? im feeling just...energyless? LOL i know that can be a symptom of low iron and iodine levels though so i just have to suck it up! :P hehe!!

About the appointment? im feeling just...pissed off that i have to wait a while i guess. I have quite a lot of other things that can occupy my mind right now though so i think i just avoid thinking about it. It could be something, but its probably nothing so I dont really know what to think.
