Hey guys, I haven't seen any Jailbreak threads here on VT, and thought I'd start my own. So if you guys have any problems, questions, or just want to discuss jailbreaking, feel free! :) Also, just to the people wondering, I have a jailbroken iPod touch 4G, running on 4.3.1, jailbroken with RedSn0w 0.9.6rc12.
I apologize if there is a thread like this (I just have not seen any).

Why haven't you upgraded to 4.3.3 and jailbroken? That's what I'm wondering
Echo

Laziness and I don't think there is any need to upgrade.

I'm currently waiting for a untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0 for the iPhone.
Then I'll update, jailbreak and unlock xD

I'd wait for 5.0.
I got the beta of it on my iTouch - but since my iPhone is jailbroken and unlocked, I dare'nt update it yet otherwise Ill screw it up

How'd you get the BETA?!

Just a note, there won't be a 4.4. The next version is iOS5 released in the Autumn. If anything there may be a 4.3.4 but nothing else.

Yeah I didn't think so... Can't wait for IOS 5. And I've already pre-ordered OSX Lion for my MacBook Pro.

To get the BETA, it's awkward, and I can't go into details here.
It involves tricking the iPhone/iTouch to make it believe its got a special UDID Code that allows it to download and run iOS 5.0 Beta

How do you pre-order it? It's Mac App store only and I did not think you can pre-order on the app store.

Respect to you sir, if you've managed to deal with Windows' shitty OS for so long, you can do anything (Celisuis for president!). ;)
I would just by a MacBook or a desktop Mac when Lion comes out.

Running a tri-boot? You must have some decent HDD space, I'd do it but my hard drive is only 140GB (It's 160GB but lost due to recovery and formatting etc). So I'd be squeezed for space.
But once I upgrade, I'll be dual-booting Windows 7 and Jolicloud on my Main and random OSes on the old one.
On-Topic - Yeah, it's legal just not supported by Apple :P Any of you guys seen the tweaks in iOS5? When iOS 5 is released and jailbroke you'll have toggles, twitter and everything in the notification centre :D

iOS 5 will be the mobile device OS of the future. This changes everything. Again!

Who are you? Steve Jobs?
And all the 'new' 'innovative' features I've seen coming from iOS 5.0 are just there to play catch-up with Windows Phone 7.

You can do that? I tried that but Windows 7 would not boot off my external (You're using USB right).

Yea, I'm using usb.
And it works fine, if i want to boot of my external.
All I do - is go into my laptop bios and set it to boot from External before anything else, so it will read all the install on the external first.
And, even though I love my iPhone and Apple, Im considering switching in for Android!
But back on topic.
iOS 5 will be amazing, but its only going to have the features which are already available on many other OS's.
iChat - Blackberry Messenger
Twitter - Android
Notification Center - Android/Windows

That was a joke bro. And the windows phone, I must admit, is pretty cool. But the touch screen is shitty, it doesn't even have MultiTouch...

The touch screen quality varies by phone manufacturer. Like on my Samsung Focus, the screen is AMAZING.
And it /does/ have multitouch. That's a requirement set by Microsoft, every Windows Phone 7 device has to have a 4 point multitouch screen.

True. But in my personal opinion, I prefer iOS... I just don't support Microsoft, cause I've never had good experiences with them.

Well Droid is getting better... I do think Apple can definitely learn some things from Droid (and vice-versa)...
