Everything is useless. I don't know why this thought jumped into my head, but it did, and now it won't go away.

I can't see a point in anything anymore, it's all useless. Everything we do, every hobby, every qualification we get, and every little thing we enjoy, it's all just a distraction between when we're born and when we die. Life doesn't actually serve a purpose, it just is.

Sorry, I needed to post it somewhere, because otherwise it wouldn't have even made any sense.

True. Mere existence from an outside, neutral perspective is completely useless.

But you're not looking form an outside, neutral perspective - you are a human being! You are born with human emotions, you think human thoughts and you have willingness to do things because you can and you want to appreciate life - be it pointless or not!

Alas, human emotions we're born with tell us how beautiful life is and how we must make the best of it - why don't we? You're going to get a lot more enjoyment from living than being unconscious and nothing. Consciousness is all we have, so love and savor it. :)

I know what you mean, and it is pretty useless.. but we have one, we all do.
So i guess we just have to live it? Make the most of it..

I completely understand your point.. it is useless. But we need qualifications, jobs, money to differenciate ourselves from one another. We need money to enjoy our lives.

But some peoples lives arent useless you know.. yes we live and then die.. but people make a change in the world. Or just help one person.. i reckon if you can just help one person then your life isnt useless.

Pretty much what Jon said. Whereas life may not have a greater purpose, a bigger purpose, do we really need any other reason than to just live?

By being human we create a meaning to our lives, by having emotions, by having each other. Whether life has a meaning or not, it can still be enjoyed and made the most of.

Hate to go religious on you but do you really know that there is no reason to life? No one knows anything for sure. Whether you believe in a religion or not you can never escape from doubt, or the fact that anything is possible. It's possible all this does have a meaning. Yes it's just as possible that it doesn't but you can't escape from the possibility that it does.
