He's right there in front of you... You're much to stunned to speak. Astonished, yes, that's a better word for it. You've dreamt about him so many times but never believed that he would be standing here again. That you would be standing together. His hair hasn't changed, still long and blond. He never shaved the triangle patch of hair under his lip. The part that always tickled in a good way when you kissed him. He's tan still, someone how his tone never seems to change much. His voice though, that's what got you every single time. He's soft spoken while maintaining a understandable volume. You never have to second guess the meaning of his words. At this point your heart seems as though it is racing faster than a hummingbird's could ever go. You thought you were lucky the first time. The butterflies in your stomach tell you that once more, you are the luckiest man alive. You surely never have believed in second chances. This time, however, you have made an exception for the one who captured your heart for the first time, and so far the only time. Through all the nightmares and mistakes that you've made you can't believe this is actually happening to you. It feels like you've lost track of time through all this. He's waiting for you to speak, so you open your mouth. No words leave your tongue though, not even a breath escapes. All you can do is collapse into his arms and begin to sob. He holds you just like he did before. Rubbing your ear lobe between his thumb and index finger. That was always your favorite. Slowly you sit together as he holds you tight. Neither of you have to speak a word to understand you're both thinking, "I love you." You want to scream and shout, asking him how he could let you go. You can't, it doesn't matter anymore because you have him back again. Saying sorry may have been the best thing you've ever done. You have your angel back, your boyfriend, the person who you believed would never hurt you. Though you're mind feels conflicted, you can't help but resist any urge to be angry with him. It doesn't matter to you at all now. You have him, you have him, you have him.... That's all that matters to you.

"I love you," you manager to whisper through the tears.

"I know," he says, "I love you too."

Sitting here together you begin to realize you don't remember where you are. All that you know is that you are with him again. You realize that this is your second chance. Slowly you realize, you're not sure what time it is or even what day. You don't even remember what your surroundings look like. You've only been paying attention to him. All of the sudden you come to your senses, it's prom night and he's taken you back on the day he promised you that you'd share together. You're wearing your matching outfits. Purple and blue were your decided colors of course, considering you share them as favorites. All that you have wished for has come true on this day. Again you think, "I have him back." The limo pulls up to your house, something that you saved very long for. You're certain that tonight could never be anymore perfect.

"I'm sorry," He says as he takes hold of your hand.

You kiss him in response. Knowing that he understands this, he kisses you back. It is a passionate moment that you have missed for so long. He looks down.

"You're still wearing my ring," He remarks.

"I've never taken it off," You explain to him.

Then he hands you a small blue notebook. The one you used to right letters to him in.

"I've read every single one," he tells you, "It just wasn't until recently that I did it. It made me realize my mistakes, that I've let go of something special."

All you can do is say his name as you begin to cry. Just like the tears you cried on the first day you met him, when you had to leave that day even though you never wanted to go. It's incredible that after so long of not being able to let go of your feelings, it has paid of. They're still worth something to both of you. It wasn't all a waste, and you don't feel so worthless anymore. For it once again, you feel truly beautiful. As though he has read you're mind he says, "You are so beautiful."

You smile at him about to say it right back the way you always do, but he interrupts you before you can speak.

"but I just can't do this, we still can't be together."

Immediately you are crushed. There is nothing you can do. You stare in disbelief at how you have just been destroyed once more. As you begin to cry he reaches towards you, and you wake up. It's morning now with the sun shinning on your face. You feel exhausted from a short night of sleep filled by a merciless dream. Covered in cold sweat and tears, you gather yourself together, get ready for the day, and yet again move on as though nothing has happened.
