Continuing from the books about self harm thread.
I got a kinda list, I've been trying to grab them myself
Red tears - Joanna Kenrick
Cut - Patricia McCormick
Impulse - Ellen Hopkins
Skin Game - Caroline Kettlewell
The Luckiest Girl in the World - Steven Levenkron
Out of those, definitely read.... red tears(so far)

Ok this could be a really stupid question but do you know how graphic these are, whether or not people might find them triggering?

I would think they would. The descriptions are quite vivid, of the self injury.

They are kinda triggering. Its down to the person's discretion as to read it or not.

I still want to read them but with the warning of how graphic they are or are not I now know not to read them if I'm in one of those moods.

Have any of you ever read the book Willow by Julia Hoban? It's really good. It helped me a little. But don't read it if your in self harm mode. It can be a little triggering in some parts.

I have read the book Cut and it was, in my opinion, an awesome book.

Willow (for those who want it) is renamed "Scarred, its hard to keep a secret when its written all over your body" I got that, and my own copy of red tears in from the shop today, they're awesome :D
*Wait, its renamed Scarred, for the UK. No wonder they couldn't find willow when I asked.

I have attempted to read cut twice the first time I read the first part and I really couldn't get into it. But a few months later I found it again and I got right into it and I was actually quite happy with the ending :) although it was slow to get into it was a good read.
I have just started reading willow and I find it really interesting I'm up to about chapter 5 and I'm getting to it more and more although I think it could be a little triggering to other people as she does go into detail but still a good read
