If you self injure, and have never ended up in an ER before, stop before you do. There not fun. And before you know it, and you end up there all the time. And it sucks. for those that have already ended up in hospital... don't do it anymore? Cos hospitals suck. Yeah.

Thats all well and good, and yes we all know we should follow this advice. But its a lot harder, and sometimes even though the hospitals "suck" they actually do help you.

You have just had bad expirences with hospitals.

Like Fran said, as much as anyone would like to take your advice it's a lot harder than it sounds. I don't suppose anyone sits there and thinks this one will be deep enough to need A&E. Or maybe they do, I don't know. But either way it's a lot harder to take your advice, and never end up there. It just takes an accident... :/

If you could avoid the accident then, thats my point. I just spent a night in the ER, it was bloody torture.

It's still a lot harder than just avoiding the accident, although I do appreciate what you're saying and the sentiment behind it. Its easier said than done.

But I take it this means you got what you did earlier looked at? Hopefully cleaned up?

Yep. 7 hours in the ER, with only my iphone  Waste of time.

Maybe that's what you think, but I'm a lot happier you went.
7 hours seems excessive waiting tbf, but still.

Well it was 2 hours. Then 2 hours. Then an hour being seen to. Then a little wait for my psychiatrist to be free, since she was. It was 5 hours in the ER, 2 hours with my psych. But still.

Oh ok then broken down it doesn't seem to bad, but either way I'm glad you went.

It must have been horrible, 7 hours is a long time.

But if people really need help they have to go right?
And an accident is something you dont mean to happen.. that cant be avoided. What can be avoided though is how that accident happens. (if that makes any sense)

But if its attention seeking cutting. And they want to go to hospital just for attention. Or to hospital at all. no. No.
