Well, lucily, Prozac can be weened off of rather quickly. Ask your doctor how you can get yourself off of it next chance you get. It shouldn't take more than a week or two. Don't stop it cold turkey, though, cause that'd mess things up.

Prozac isn't tailored to EVERY depression case. Take a look at other options, and maybe you'll find one that's a lot better :)

Well, if all else fails, make a post about how you feel with your depression in the Witch Doctor forum, and I could suggest a few alternative methods of helping stubborn depression. :)

And about your memory problem, it is most likely caused by the Prozac. It's all due to lots of chemicals being messed with in your brain. I'll look into that, too, if you post in the Witch Doctor.

I take prozac weekly (pretty much the same thing as prozac but you only take it twice a week) the thing i have noticed about prozac is that you never really notice if it is helping you or not until you have a depressing situation. With me i can tell because i make things less big of a deal when i am off my meds. But hey that just me...prozac may just not be the right medication for you. Try talking to your doctor about another kind that may work.

i take it daily and have been for 4-5 months.
I TOLD THEM! YEY! im gettin my med changed. (hopefully) i might be taking sleeping pills 2 :)

I've taken 20 mg a day for almost 6 months and I don't feel any different. At least, I don't think I do. It's kind of hard to tell though. The only reason why I haven't asked to switch to something else is because I like the fact that it speeds up my metabolism (I don't know why but it does). I weighed 140 when I first started taking it and now I'm 120. Has anyone else lost weight on Prozac?

I'm on two kinds of meds... one for something/ i forget and the other for sleeping but neither work!!! ARRRR! My neurologist doesn't listen. I take a total of 8 pills a day.
