So AA! (yes, the crabcore band...) have a new sound and a new sound. Of course, they were a bit of a joke before but IMO they've really improved and don't just chug now. The song ('Last Breath') is below, Can I request that you actually listen to it before saying whether they are shit or not?

They were horrific before, to the point where I threw up a little inside my mouth each time one of their songs came on.
Hmm, I don't think their new sound is bad at all. I don't necessarily love it, but it is a massive improvement. It's like they've finally grown the fuck up lol.

They're ok, they're very similar to system of a down, or Bullet for my valentine.
Along those lines of people.

Apart from the Crabcore thing (which was ridiculous), their old songs were generic chugathons with autotune and shit. Saying that, I still like them for some reason...

Generic teenage hot topic trash. And before you ask, yes, I did endure all three minutes and forty-three seconds of that.

I have mixed feeling for crabcore.

As for this particular piece, it's mo yani. I hate the vocals - how many bands has this same fucking voice?
The guitar work is very generic and recycled, the percussion is even worse. The composition is lacking, the texture is bland and the riffs are ripped.
The lyrics? Anyone with an open mind will agree that this is really repetitive and clichéd; not genuine and really fucking silly.
Yes, I have listened to it and sacrificed my 3:43 minutes listening to it.

^ Very good points in which I definitely agree with. Hit the nail on the head there.
Like I said, I personally don't think it's bad by any stretch, it's just not exactly good. It seems like I'm contradicting myself but tbh I don't think I was too clear in my first post. I made it sound as if I liked the song and the "transformed" band - believe me, I really, really don't. It's just that I don't strongly hate them as much as I used to, and yes they have improved but they were SO EXTREMELY HORRENDOUS before that even if they made themselves slightly better (but still kinda shitty) it would be an improvement regardless.
I'm rambling now, but what I'm trying to get at is that they have moved up from being downright sickening to pretty average. Face it, the lyrics are something a "oh my life is so fucking bad" 15 year old emo girl could easily write from the top of her head.

Of course, it's still generic and offers nothing new to metalcore (does anybody these days?) but, considering how shit they were before with the autotune and synths etc, this is a big improvement. Caleb Shomo is actually a great singer (proof here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GH56JONzxFQ)). At least they aren't keeping the crabcore...

Shit is still shit regardless of how many flies you swat away from it.

I don't like how you take Synth very lightly. They could have evolved(oh, inb4 digi/pokemon) from shitty metalcore to something else; for example, into Post-Rock or Post-Metal maybe. Or into Industrial Metal(emphasizing the synths). Even better yet, Stoner Sludge Doom. Some Sludge Doomer Stoner Droners bands has actually moved from Metalcore. But no, they(your band) stayed as is.
Some bands really have potentials, but I don't like it when they do not move into the experimental realm. It's like they are afraid of change or lose their dear teenybopper emo fan base.
Shit is still shit regardless of how many flies you swat away from it.Wow, this is... very beautiful.

Is this a joke? Vocals suck. The piano at the beginning sounds like cheesy Dream Theater bullshit. Pretty bad production too. Never been a fan of metalcore genre anyhow, mainly because it gets really repetitive and boring fast. The screams aren't really that interesting. Like, if you're going to scream then apply some emotion to it. The clean vocal part makes me think of a gayer version of Three Days Grace.
I know, these hot topic lip ring tight jeans 'check out my hookah it doesn't work though' br00tal breakdown loving scene badly colored purple-red handkerchief trying too hard to be deep kids enjoy this shit. Guess it's too good for me to comprehend right?
