Hey guys, I am finishing my junior year and looking up colleges for the following year. I was wondering what colleges and majors you guys are looking into?

I am interested in some sort of engineering, computer science, or a geneticist. My college list has been narrowed down to:

Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA
Bowdoin University, Brunswick, ME
Northeastern University, Boston, MA
Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO
Tufts University, Medford, MA
Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL
CalTech University, Pasadena, CA

Let me know also, if you are planning on attending or looking into any of these colleges or majors. Thanks guys and gals. :)

I have no idea where I want to go to school, but I plan on taking care of all my general ed at a community college anyway. So I figure I'll be there roughly two years, and by that time I'll hopefully have an idea of where I'd like to transfer to. As of right now, I'll most likely be majoring in mathematics (I'm a dork like that haha), and possibly double major in chemistry...or just minor in it.

I'm probably going to do the Computer IT course at Northern Kentucky University. Small school, local, does what I want, and has a low tuition. And people I know who go therefor that program say it's good.

I've been looking into a couple of things, mainly civil engineering or going into the military. But for the engineering, I'm also looking at FIT, as well as Embry Riddle in both Florida and Arizona, as well as QUT in Australia.

This year I'm majoring in photography at community college. That'll take two years then I'm transferring somewhere for International Relations. Hah, two completely different things.

I dont really understand the whole major or minor things your all talking about ..
Here you get bachelor degrees.
And, my options are pretty limited.
Irelands small, and theres only a few colleges to choose from that do the courses I want .. either physcology or creative writing.
NUIG, Trinity, DCU .. Where-ever I get in really.

We get Bachelor's degrees here too.. Major just means your intended focus of study. If you wanted to go to college for creative writing, you would major in creative writing. Major = your main reason why you're going to college
