Caught.......With a condom

Hi I'm 16 year old.

Ok so here's the deal. About 2 or 3 months ago I got a few condoms from a local gas station. I jacked off with mostly all of them......except 1.....I had the last one a couple of months ago and I was going to use it the following day or sometime near. The next day I realized I couldn't find it. At first I thought "crap! What if I get caught!! I'm dead!" I looked for it after school every day for a week or so. Eventually I gave up and thought it would show up eventually. The good news is that it did finally show up, just not the way I wanted it to. I was sitting in my living room watching TV with my dad. All of a sudden I heard my mom yelling for me to come in my room. She asked "what's this??" she had found my condom. I thought I was in so much trouble. She said she wouldn't tell my dad this time, but if she ever caught me again I would be in major trouble.

I havent been. But Id think at the same time your parents should be happy you were thinking bout safe sex, lol.

Well a parent that actually cares is going to react to finding a condom in there sons room. And safe sex is the way to go. Talk to them about having one just incase your in a situation where that happens if there the kind of parents that will understand. If there not and you plan on having sex just buy a 3 pack or an individual like the day before or day that your going to. They cant exactly find a condom after its used and tossed somewhere x.x. Now im not condoning sex or anything like that but people have it sex is normal and teens have it no matter what hide it in your wallet or something you know they wont go through.

If she yells at you say it's "just incase" We're teenagers, we don't know where our hormones will leave us. It's better to be prepared and not end up with a baby

It's not the oddness of having a condom, it's the "MY BABY IS HAVING SEX AND I DON'T WANT HIM TO!" thing with parents. It's not an American thing, it differs depending on the parents. There are some, if not many, who act the way yours do and make sure you have them so they don't have a baby to deal with.

My mom found my condoms once...i told her i have never had sex but if i do i want to be safe and ready...she was cool with my answer and it was droped as for my use of condoms i have used one for sex and i jackoff in them too

I agree with the earlier post about "my baby is having sex" Some parents just don't think that their child is old enough to have sex. I say continue to think SAFE SEX and if the subject ever comes up with either of your parents, you will be more prepared to have a conversation, as I bet you was a little taken aback and didn't really have time ot think or react properly to have it at that moment. Just sit and think about what you want to tell them and maybe if you actually bring up the subject, they will want to have a conversation instead of a "yelling moment". I don't think hiding them and going behind their back is a good option-- be upfront and truthful and they may not agree with you at the moment, but they will have more respect for you.

I've had condoms in my room since I wad 14 an my parents were not thrilled but they were just like at least your prepared any being safe so I didn't get in Any trouble

Agree with the others you van say that should the need ummm arise (pardon the pun) you will be able to do it safely.

My Dad found mine once. It was awkward, however I told him that I was trying them, so when I DID use them, I would know how to use one properly. Also depending on your relationship with your dad, you could always tell him why you had them, I am sure he will understand, after all, he is a male. I think your mother should be happy that you have the values that you have, and should not have yelled at you.

I'm fortunate enough to have parents who are really open to discussing puberty/sex/etc.

They gave me condoms and said, "I don't care who you have sex with as long as you love them and you're careful."

My dad found mine and laughed, he stated that I must be adopted because most of the men in my family are too small for these also he said that he would rather me be safe than sorry. My dad is pretty awsome.

If your parents get mad at you for having condoms then they should get their priorites straight. Having a condom means that you're ready to have sex. And that you know you need to be protected.
My mom actually doesn't care. She's given me condoms. And used to have a bowl of them when we'd have parties.
