So does anyone else think ever since rihanna got beat up by chris brown that she's actually gotten crazier and nastier? hmm...makes me think he was holding her back

No i dont think this at all... i think she learned from it in a positive way, and used that anger to creat her new album. She is bound to go a bit "crazier"... i think anyone would. But she is no more "crazy" than all the other stars out there... Lady Gaga being a very good example.

I dont think in anyway Chris Brown was holding her back. Why would he do that? It doesnt make any sense. I think since the "beating" she was given the chance to show more of who she actually is. Alot of times in the music industry, you get pressured into being something that you arent. So, sooner or later we would see the Rihanna we know today. So in a way the "beating" had somewhat of a positive effect, and not that domestic abuse is positive in any way, but it seems like it allowed Rihanna to be herself.

No, Chris Brown wasn't "holding her back". You're probably bringing this thread up because of Love the Way You Lie and that other new song of hers that she kills people in her music video (I saw/heard this on the news 2 days ago).

No, he wasn't holding her back. He did though scar her mentally. She seems to not be able to forget it and does "edgy" songs because of it.

No I don't think he was holding her back at all, she went through a bad experience and this was bound to change her. The "nastier" comment well maybe that's just her way of expressing her anger at what happened or maybe you are reading way too much into what songs she produces. Either way Chris Brown wasn't holding her back, she just discovered a new side to herself after that ordeal.

Why do you say this? She hasn't gotten 'crazier and nastier', her music has just become edgier since she released her Rated R album (which was her first album after Chris Brown's assault).
