Sounds like a dream job :D I would like to be a documentary photographer, to take nature photos and such, but to take photos is my hobby and I don't want to make a hobby to a job.. But anyway, it would still be fun :P

I think photography is more of my hobby than something I'd want to base my career on...
Personally, I'd quite like to be an astronomer. Space fascinates me :)

It pays badly if you dont know what you are doing, and what do you want to do? i love photography so i cant think of any thing 'better' to do with myself.

It was something I seriously considered when I was younger. I think, though, that after a lot of research, purchasing of equipment and talking to people who were then in the profession, I realised how bloody hard it is to really 'get in to' and make any real money.

I suppose it does really depend on what type of work you want to do. I had in mind becoming some kind of figure-head landscape / portrait photographer who was world renowned e.t.c. but, it would have been a lot easier to just be working for a small / medium sized agency / reuters or some shit like that.

I was considering it for a while. I actually have a close family friend who's a professional photographer and he makes decent money. But he's 55. It's taken him that long to get to that. I don't want to wait until I'm over the hill to get paid decent cash, lol. I'd probably consider having it as a side job or attempt to. Right now it's just an interest.

One of my biggest dreams right now is to have a fashion blog that creates revenue and brings me to places all over the world. I need some pretty good photography skills to be able to perform in that job. I also have to be good at photographing myself, which I find is a pretty hard task if you want decent pictures
