Posion Ivy Outbreak

I'm having a bad case of poison ivy as I am allergic to it,and my dumb ass wasn't wearing gloves when I was gardening,any body know any good creams or good ways to make it go away faster?!?!Thanks.

In my boyscout troop we use jewel weed. Break it at the base ofthe stem and wipe it on the ivy. You can also talk to your local pharamisist when you visit the drug store and they can give you a good recommendation.

If you want something topical, a general antihistamine cream should be fine.

If you want something oral (tablets), you could get something with chlorphenamine / cetirizine in it. I'm not too sure what kind of brands of 'allergy' medication you get out in the US thus accordingly can't pin-point any.

Put some Hydrocortisone cream on it,,when it drys put calamine lotion on it..it'll work miracles.

Not being from the USA I have never treated Poison Ivy in my medical experiences - However, I have heard good benefits behind the home remedy of Baking Soda and White Vinegar, to make a paste. I read about this in one of my medical books, but have no idea how effective it is. Im sure it was NCIS as well.
