Hi
I've got a problem. I shave my underarm hair because I find it embarrassing with family etc. Now I'm getting older I dont know what to do, everyone at 14 or 15 have it. I'm going on holiday soon should I leave it or shave. I got 8 and 9 year old brothers and sisters. Guys help me from your own family experience of underarm hair.

You're a dude. Nothing to be embarassed about with having armpit hair. Just leave it.

You I felt the same way but I have let it grow a year or from now and I felt that I had to shave everytime I went on holidays and stuff but then I though every guy in the world has been through this so its normal and when I left no one in my family said anything, so le it grow dude

I've had the same problem too. It's all your choice on what you're more comfortable with. I shave mine most of the time. Mainly because it looks weird to me for some reason. Also because I've had my little sister point it out a lot and she would never shut up about it. It also brings a stronger smell if your underarms ever smell bad. Those are the only reasons why I shave mine.

I tell you what I do: leave it in tact. For me, it looks more natural. It belongs there. Everyone expects guys our age to have it, too.

I grew mine early and my sister (3 years older) used to just joke about them. She would say I am hijacking some squirrels, because it would poke through the sides of my arms too. We just laugh about it though. No hard feelings. :) I say leave it. If someone makes fun of you then just shrug it off. Everyone gets it at some point.

It is completely normal for guys to have hair under their arms. I think you should do what makes you comfortable, and try not to stress over it so much man. I shave mine for swim meets.

from my area were i live you always see guys with armpit hair. i dont like it and i dont think it looks good on fat guys (me) and it does look good on thinner guys ( O.o) so i let it grow out to not draw attention to my self from others. i dont show anyone though i find it odd

Like others have said, it's natural but if you want to keep it or shave, it's up to you. Your family probably won't say much if you have it, someone may joke with you about it. Do whatever you feel is right.

It's suppose to start growing and don't worry about it. Your younger brothers will start getting it when they hit puberty soon too. Just let it grow in, if you keep shaving it, it's just going to come in thicker and the hair won't be as fine.

Armpit hair on guys demonstrates your masculinity and manhood.

It's 100% normal, girls find it attractive and, I don't know which way you turn, but some guys probably find it attractive.

However, if you decide you don't like it than you can shave it... be careful though! It can hurt growing back in and applying deodorant can sting.

It is normal for all teenage boys to get armpit hair. I have a younger brother and a younger sister and they see it all the time. I share my room with my brother and because i don't wear a t-shirt when i am at home, he sees it a lot. i am 14 and he is 9.

He doesn't go 'ewwww, you have hair under your amrpit' like my friends brother because he is used to it now. He sometimes asks me when i got it and if he will get it too. I explained to him what puberty is and that he will get it too. He seemed kind of disgusted at first but then now he is okay with it. He asked me one day if he can touch it and i let him because one day he will also get it.

My brother has also seen my pubes when I am changing. We are really close and he asks me questions like will he get hair around his penis. Once your family get used to it, it will be okay.

Do whatever you feel is right and what you think you'll be most comfortable with. If you feel that you'd be better off shaving it to avoid 'embarrassment' in your family, then shave it or vice versa. It's all down to your preference really.

Dude it's totally normal to have it. Your parents should understand. I have really hairy pits and my parents or family don't point it out.

if you feel more comfortable shaving it then don't worry about what other people think. if your brothers or sisters ask about it, its just because they are to young to get it. so they are just curious.... dont worry what other people think do what ever you want to do.

I also shave mine for swim meets. It must be some kind of swimmers code or something. But yeah, you could always trim it down, it's almost the same thing.

I would just leave it be if I was you! I found that I ended up comparing it to my friends and vice versa so in my experience it was almost evidence that you were going through puberty and stuff!
