Basically, I'm meant to be going on holiday with my friends this weekend. Only I'm not. For other reasons, I decided I wouldn't go. Now I've gotten a job and I'm going to use this as my excuse not to go. Does anyone have any better excuses than work commitments and how should I tell my friends?

First of all, good to have you back.

Job is a good excuse. If they don't buy it or you don't feel that sure, you could always use parents as an excuse. Hey, if they don't allow, there is now way anyone can question it.

To be honest I would say that Job commitments is the best excuse possible, there's nothing they can say that could prove you wrong really.
