Girlfriends birthday?

So my girl friend has a birthday coming up in a few days and I have been stumped on what to get her.

I am 18 and she will be 17, already planned on getting her flowers and going out to an Italian restaurant, does that sound alright so far?

Then I thought we could catch a movie then go back to my house for some fun ;)

Other than that, what should I get her for an actual present? Or is what I'm doing already enough?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Out to an Italian restaurant sounds like a real nice treat. This is just my opinion but I think what you're doing is sweet and thoughtful. That is a present.

Well you can look at it two ways,

- the meal is your present to her.
- or you can get her something small as well

The choice is yours, Personally i would get her something small aswell.
Show how much you love her and all that. :)

A small little gift would be nice like a simple bracelet or some thing you think she's interested in.

Well, it depends.

Do what you can afford; if you can afford to buy her a small gift that's from the heart, do it! Flowers are wonderful, the movies is better, and a nice restaurant is great but perhaps a small gift that means something special would just put her over the edge.

If she's a reader, see if you can find a first edition or signed copy of her favorite author/book (it's cheaper than you'd think). If she's a jewelry person, perhaps a silver necklace with both your initials inscribed in it?

Something cute that says, "you're amazing and the only one for me".

I guess that is enough.Although it would be nice to also give her an actual present like maybe some jewelry, or a teddy bear.Something that she would like.
