Hey guys,

I have a real problem here. Im almost 16, 5 feet 7 and my highest weight ever was 108 pounds. To me this is a real problem because i dont feel alright being able to see my ribs and be able to touch my indexfinger with my thumb while my wrist is between those. Also regulary people ask me if i have anorexia and some girls have said it dont look all to good that im so skinny.

I really dont know how to gain more weight because i dont even do any sports so it cant be that im loosing weight because of that. Is there something i should take like a medicine of change of diet? (i dont want to go to a dietist) please help me out..

Dude I was the same way when I was your age, give it time, you will fill out. Look at how I look know, you may fill out a little. I gained about 45lbs in muscle between 16 and 18 so it may be that you just need time and eat healthy so that it doesn't turn into fat.

tru but 108 lbs is really skinny and it makes me really boney and my ribs show. People ask me if i have anorexia and others tell me im ugly...it makes me uncomfortable. I know that i shouldnt give people who call me ugly to much attention but now its just to much

BTW i dont think this falls under eating disorder cuz nothing is wrong wid my eating and i dont vomit anything out
Please don't double post --

Just start eating healthier and if you are that worried about it then you need to talk to your physician about it.

Consider lifting weights and drinking protein. Of course, you should always consult your parents and a physician before starting any workout regimen.

I'm 15, 5'6 and 108 pounds. So... we're about the same. My PE teacher tells me that if I want to gain weight that I need to start lifting weights, which is what I'm about to start doing!

Dude don't worry a year ago I was 5'9 and 114pounds I'm now 16 and a half 5'11 and 125 pounds. Its all about your own body. Some people bulk up earlier and some people bulk up later don't worry about it you'll get there. Also I can still see my ribs so it doesn't really matter. But if you want to gain weight (muscle mass) then I suggest (even if your not really the athletic type) just go to your local gym and start lifting weights. Remember to start slow and not strain yourself (from experience that is not good... at all) anyway I hope this helped :)
