I did a lot of research on this topic. It is surprisingly hard to find data from good studies on this topic from reliable places. From several studies I found that in the 18-24 age range the "average" is anywhere between 2 and 9 times per week. "Normal" on the other hand is anywhere from hardly ever to upwards 25times per week. Surveys show that the frequency is a little higher in the mid teens and then levels off to a decline in the late twenties.
