What should I do?

What's going on is my friend lives with his dad and his dad lives in his step mothers house. His step mom wont allow my friend back in the house after a incident that happened like a month ago. What happened was my friend grabbed his fathers arm and closed a door on it? Anyways, the cops had to be called to arrest him at which he got the usual bullshit and he had to go to dominion psychiatric ward for 19 days. Well since he can't live with his father he has been trying to see if he can stay with his mother for the summer who doesn't know the day, month, and year. I want to and feel like I need to help him find a place or at least comfort him,.any idea of what the fuck I should do?

The main factor that needs to be explained is how old he is ?

If hes under age, he will have to be with a parent, if hes over; he can go where he pleases. To comfort him, I would continue to be a good friend, you obviously are worried about him and that says alot. Do your best, and offer him whatever he needs.

Yeah he's pretty young, I mean he's with his crazy ass mom because his dad was going to send him to military or w/e that living in school shit called, in one of the two only states that by law makes it so he can't leave until he's eighteen
