Lately, I've been so afraid that something terrible is going to happen. Every time I get in the car I feel like I am goin to crash, when it's dark I feel like there is something hiding in the shadows, every whisper is a threat and every unexplainable sound someone awful waiting outside. It's better during the day but at night I just feel terrified. I can't sleep because every time I close my eyes I see awful things. I don't know what to do to stop feeling this way but it's sending me into panic attacks half the time and I cant handle it anymore

Do you see a counsellor?

This sounds like some form of paranoia. You should see a professional about this if you haven't already. A professional will be able to offer counselling and possibly medication to help with this. If you can't handle it anymore you need to do something about it and going to a professional is the only real option.

Like the others have said, only a profeesional can really help you. They will be able to help with counselling and maybe even stop this. So your better off going to see one now than wait until it gets worse. They know what there on about :)
Hope things work out for you.

No I don't see a counselor or anything, but you all are probably right in saying I should. I haven't really talked to anyone about this actually, because I'm worried that they'll turn away. And the thing that scares me the most is telling my parents. That would be so awful..

Why would it be so awful?

Primarily because i feel like I'd be letting them down. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it besides that. My mom told me he other day actually how proud she was of me for being so strong and always handling everything so well. It would really kill her if she knew how I felt and how long I've been lying to her for

I know its hard to open up to parents, but they might be able to help, and most parents actually try to help their children when their children need it.

That is true, and I know they would help me if I asked. It's really a matter of workin ip the courage and strength to do it
