I am a member of another forum, which includes a google map of where members live. Members decide if they want to be on the map, and how accurate they want to be with addresses etc. Eg if you were worried, you could just put the nearest city, or the first 3 or 4 characters of your postal code. I was thinking of something like that for VT. Obviously, if the mods/admins agree, I am happy to put the map together myself, through a system of members PMing me a location to add to the map. The use of this is that it shows where most members are from, and in which countries VT is most/least popular.

Hell no, that'd be extremely unsafe. This site is hardly safe at the moment, you never know who could be looking or signing up here. Putting sensitive details like that could get not only us but members into a lot of trouble security wise.

I was about to put that myself. This is a bad idea

This site is primarily made up of minors.
You should never give out any personal details about where you live. Like saying your town is fine but anything more may cause very very big trouble.
Besides, you don't really need to know where exactly people live.

I agree, this is dangerous, and unneeded, but I do think a map of the world, with a pin in the City location of all the members would be interesting. See where the most pins are and such. But anything more then that would be extremely unsafe, and asking for trouble.

I've seen this on other sites, and it's pretty cool, seeing where the most people are from and such.
But yeah, the current suggestion is not going to happen.

Most of us are underage, it kinda is Virtual Teen.
Kinda unsafe, especially for those whom are sexually attracted to children.
"Oh hello, so and so lives just around the corner... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.."
Not safe.

Oh hey! I think I'll visit Becky. Whips and Chains excite?
There are many limits that could be placed on it, I like the Pin idea I talked about. Being as 90%(?) of us are minors, VT might be looking at legal trouble to do that though.

^^See what I mean? This creep could be stalking me RIGHT NOW with that map. :P
The pin thing is kinda cool, so long as it's a SET project that only a specific mod/admin could fiddle with, though its most likely the fact that most of us are minors that'll get us in trouble.
