I was thinking because i have more then 6 friends here on vt (as most people do) and on my profile i think we should be able to choose which friends appear as the top 6 instead of it just randomly changing each time you go onto someones profile.

I would just keep the people you want as the top checked, and uncheck the others (where it says friends on your contact list). Only the people who are checked for that will show up on your profile. So if you kept six checked, those six would be shown.

I can confirm this. They would be completly removed from your 'Friends' list, but they would still be on your 'Contacts' list.

^ Yes. They won't be on your friend's list, but they will be on your contacts list that you view. I just think it's not that useful, and if you really want that, then that should be your option. It's kind of pointless in my opinion, it has little value. Not a bad idea, but I don't think it's worth the trouble.
