Right, so there are 2 things annoying me in OpenSuSE.
1. You have to manually edit the wireless settings before connecting to internet
Every single time I turn on my computer, I have to edit the subnet mask before connecting to the internet. It has a default value of /24. Apparantly, either our router or my wireless card can't handle this. I have to go in Yast2 and change it to 255.255.255.0. It's not really bad, just kinda annoying. This does not happen in Ubuntu.
2. XAMPP keeps screwing itself up
Sometimes, when trying to use MySQL with the XAMPP, I am told that:
Can't connect to MySQL Server at localhost:
Can't open MySQL socket at /var/run/mysql/mysql.sock
I have searched and searched for that, but never found it.
I end up having to delete the server completely and redownload it.
Heck, I even keep the tarball handy in my Downloads folder should it happen again.
So yeah, that's my problems.
Anyone have a fix?
