I wouldn't suggest any guys going full vegetarian or vegan young, especially athletes, because you need a lot of protein to grow and keep going. I got really lethargic when I gave it up for lent in 8th grade while I was in track. I lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks, very unhealthy and I bet I lost muscle along with fat. Don't get me wrong, the vegetarian and vegan lifestyles can be VERY healthy, but it takes a lot of dieting and some supplements to stay healthy. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, I love my ribs, but eating more vegetables is great for you.

KFC original chicken is soo good. Throw in cole slaw, bisquets with butter & honey, mashed potatoes & gravy, apple pie & a large pepsi (or mt dew) & you have a great meal. Vegans don't use animal products such as leather, suede, etc. They also don't consume dairy products, eggs, or anything that is from an animal.

That's a common misconception. Many people assume since it's natural, animals don't get hurt. With the dairy industry today though, they do get harmed, and it's not a natural process. In order for cows to produce milk, they have to have a calf. So, they get artificially inseminated every year. Their calf always gets taken from them within a day, and it will suffer a terrible fate as well. Then, the cows will get pumped for milk numerous times a day, generally producing ten times as much as they would produce naturally in just one day. The mother cows used in the dairy business are used like that for only a few years before they are killed.

Chickens that are used for eggs lead lifes as miserable too. First off, male chicks are useless for the egg industry so they die immediately by being thrown away alive or put into an awful grinding machine while alive. There's an awful video you can watch about that. It's not for the faint at heart though. As for the females, when they are only a couple days old, a part of their beak gets burned off, and they don't have any painkillers either. Many chickens die from that alone since they can't eat and drink because of the pain. They are forced to live in tiny cages with multiple other chickens. They live in those cages with no light until they are no longer needed. After their egg production decreases, they are sent to a slaughterhouse and killed.

The same goes for any other animals industry. Abuse and then death.

It might have something to do with your blood type. If you have an O type, apparently really need the iron or whatever. When one of my uncles tried to be a vegetarian a few years ago, he sort of went loopy without it. But right after he went back to eating meat, he was perfectly fine. (he has an O blood type)
