How do i talk to girls?

Its really bugging me. I havent had a girlfriend in like a year and that was with a girl i knew for years. But in that year there has been loads of times when a girl would either stare at me for ages, like my friend would tell me shw was or i would look at her and she would quickly look away. My friends tell me to ask the girls for their number but i just dont know how to talk to girls i dont know. Even one time i was clothes shopping on my own and two girls came up to me and said they thought i was hot and asked for my number, i just laughed and didnt say anything and just walked off. This was like two months ago and i still laugh and cry about that moment because thye were hot as well lmao. Theres been other occasions but everytime i just freeze up and either laugh or just look away, what can i do to get pass that nervous stuff and what do i say? lol

The easiest way to view this is these are girls that you've never met before, yeah, you may feel nervous, but give them your number, why feel worried, if they was joking, or made you feel embarrassed the chances of you ever seeing them again are slim.

You may as well go for it, because once you've walked away, you've just blew that opportunity, and you possibly could of got somewhere, just try to talk back with confidence in your voice, smile, pass them your number and if it is extremely awkward, just be like "well im off now, text me" and walk away.
There is nothing to worry about in my opinion, They are clearly interested if they was willing to walk over and ask for your number, so personally I don't think you can actually go wrong.

Talking to new people is just like talking to someone you've known for 4 years as long as you have the confidence to do so. You don't have to be nervous.

Try not thinking about it, start off like, Hi, my name is.................... or

You can start off as, Hi, my name is Robert..........I am a medical student...(That's what I use)

Just be yourself...if those girls came up and asked for you number than they obviously saw somthing in you..don't be so scared..believe it or not..we're just like lions..we smell fear..show some confidence but not arrogance and things will work out I promise.
