I don't see a problem with it. Just because someone is gay doesn't mean that they are interested in everyone of the same sex or a perving at everyone. There was a girl at my school who came out and some people had problems with it, especially because she was quite athletic... it devestated her. She was looking for people to understand and hopefully change the misconception about gay people being something to fear as she was well known at the school and liked but instead she seemed to be outcast most of the time instead.

Im pretty much out as bi, and i shower with the guys after gym class, and sports.
Most of the guys have known me for at least a few years and do not have a problem with it at all. And i am good freinds with 90 % of them, but there are a few who have told me "do not shower next to me, or have changed lockers. But its ok.

well I'm openly gay idk how many people in gym class know but it's not a big deal

I'm pretty sure not many people would care as long as they aren't staring at anybody

i do not have a problem with gay people in sports teams, just like i dont have a problem any where else. there is no reason to dislike people because of their sexual orientation, the only reason why i wouldnt like someone is if their personality clashes with mine.

I run cross country, cheerlead and play ultimate frisbee and all my coaches know I'm gay and so do my team mates. None of them treat me any differently. Even at the showers, all of us joke around and talk as normal.
It shouldn't matter what your sexuality is, to say that you can or can't play a sport. Once you play it, enjoy yourself and have fun is what matters...along with winning...[sometimes]

im out, very very out as gay. im on my schools fencing team, and nobody minds. they all know that just because im gay, does not mean i want to sleep with every boy in sight
