I've listened to Christian music and don't enjoy it. Well, I know a few bands who's lyrics revolve around Christianity, but they aren't Christian bands. Personally, I enjoy Klezmer. One of my friends got me into it.

Uh, do chants count?

I listen to Industrial Christian bands -- very good in my opinion, but they don't revolve around loving Jesus, but in fact the other way around.

Wow. It's disappointing you two don't even know how to spell your own belief system. It's atheist.

I don't listen to Christian rock voluntarily. Whenever I'm at church, there is some contemporary service thing that plays Christian rock, and some of it's not bad at all. The lyrics get annoying, though, and I over analyze the stuff since I'm atheist and bored. The genre can get really repetitive with lyrics. And a lot of people are not creative at all.

Too bad this is Christian music. Otherwise, it would be so cool.

I don't listen to Christian music at home or whatever but I have no complaints when the band plays it at my church. For a church band it's pretty good music, with guitar and drum solos and lights and stuff.

If my stepdad even listens to as much as Flyleaf and I'd prefer to shoot myself in both ears.

I listen to a lot of bands that talk about Christianity. It's not shit like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eiy3_KRKNaQ) though. They just have lyrics that every so often mention an element of Christianity. Nightwish was the first to come to my mind, as a lot of their references are to Christian mythology. Their lyrics are well-crafted though, far from mediocre.

Honestly though, it isn't because it's Christian. I would hate any mediocre music that is only to glorify a religion. I tend to love music that's the opposite though.

My favourite band are Christians, and do sometimes mention God / Jesus in one or two of their songs, but their songs don't revolve around the concept. Perhaps the least subtle of their songs was Jesus Came To My Birthday Party - but that was about a Mexican guy named Jesus who went to a band member's birthday party.

But otherwise, the references to God etc are few and far between.

I'm a Christian, but I hate about 99% of Christian music since it's just too soppy for me, and soppy most definitely isn't my style.

Honestly, I've tried, but for some reason christian music freaks me out. I guess it has something to do with going to church a lot when I was little (long story) but I also refuse to step foot in a church again, unless I absolutely have to.

I'm not Christian, but I still find the songs calming and empowering.

every summer I go to a Christian youth festival called soul survivor. last year we had an American worship leader called Phil wickham who has a couple of albums out and are just amazing. there are also others that go such as Ben cantelon and Tim Hughes who also have their own albums. I would encourage any young Christians that find the traditional stuff boring to go and listen to them. there is also a band that managed to get to no.7 (i think it was) in the uk chart last year at Easter called 'delerious?' who are a more rocky sort of style but I just depends on what sort of music you like to listen to and there are so many Christian bands out there that you find on YouTube

I'm not Christian (well... i'm not sure), but i'm not like a practicing Christian either way. Some of my favourite bands are Christian though, like Flyleaf and Skillet.
