My mom and dad treat me like I'm 3 nt 13!. I don't get a choice in my clothes. I'm a guy and my friends have cooler clothes than me! Like from may untill like the end of august I'm not allowed any pants atall! Just shorts every day:( which sucks like if I'm going to my friends party and try to look good its not good and everyone must notice, and the ones i got are like short shorts not good! My brothers get the same as me too
And even at home I am given the clothes I gotta wear the next day! My parents say it's easy for them with a big family with washing n stuff but I don't get it!

Sounds like you could try talking to them and explain that you would like to have some say in what you wear, but if you already did that your kind of stuck; their thinking it seems like that its not that important and if they have a lot of kids it probably is cheaper and easier to buy stuff like that.
But, while clothes shouldnt really be that important, they are at our age, sooooo, ask them if you could earn some money and buy your own clothes, do some chores, ask to mow neighbors yards, clean up yards, stuff you can do when your 13. Me and my twin did that for a while when we were your age. Only thing I can think of dude.

Are your parents Indian?
Just tell them to shut the fuck up and that you will wear the clothes you choose to wear. Standing up to parents has always worked for me because I've always been a stubborn brat.

I think, in this day and age, a thirteen year old boy should have a say in what he wears and when. We're not dolls or robots, we have opinions just like anyone else. I remember how my mum would tell me how her parents controlled how she wore her hair and clothes until she was at least my age. She hated it and so she decided to raise me differently. As long as what I wear is appropriate, she leaves me alone about it.
Offer to do your own laundry. At 13, that's not the biggest chore. I started doing my own laundry at that age and it works. I can wear what I want and if it's dirty and I wanted to wear it, that's my fault. I learned to take responsibility from it. Tell your parents that you want to be able to have a bit more freedom. As I used in an example, even choosing your own clothes can teach you life skills. I don't think any parent can honestly argue with that.
Remember, if you offer to do things like chores and whatnot, make sure to keep up the end of the bargain. They'll go back to picking your clothes if you prove that you can't handle the freedom.

Well, keep at it, whatever you're doing. All you can do is try. Do you maybe have a school counsellor you could speak to? If it's really such a big problem to you, another adult you can trust may be able to speak to your parents.
I'm not sure... just the first idea I could think of.

Like they tell me it's only a problem to me but I hate my legs! And like I can't look smart n stuff in shorts I got stupid skinny legs. That's like the thing that I hate the most! Even undressed for bed doesn't bother me cus like I'm at home and I'm only in my room. I don't even know how to mention it with school councilor.

Yeah. I can see how that could suck. Let your parents know that it bothers you so much. If it's a problem to you, they should respect that.
Go to a counsellor and just say you have a problem at home you don't know how to deal with and explain the situation. No problem is too small. They'll help you. :) Good luck.

Have a good chat with your parents, tell them how you feel and what you would do to choose your own clothes. But, honestly, if it doesn't work it's not that much of a big deal. People judge you less than you think; do you look at someone and think less of them because they wear certain clothes? I hope not. If you do, perhaps that's a better reason to see a counselor.

Shorts are useful. They could be making you wear tight jeans all the way through the summer. I think that would be worse.

Is it a budget thing? Like, your parents only buy the clothes they do because they don't want to buy the more expensive stuff, or do they just have specific opinions on what they think is appropriate to wear?
